While many college students escape to tropical locations for spring break, UMBC students organize a variety of service project trips and experiences. From environmental clean-up projects to refugee aid and poverty immersion, Alternative School Break is designed to give students opportunities to explore their world and give back to the community.
In this episode, Ben Davis, a student heavily involved with ASB planning, discusses the organization’s history, the variety of trips available to students and how faculty and staff can help out.
