This year’s Homecoming, scheduled for October 12-15, 2011, is going to be bigger and better than ever, with fun events designed to bring alumni, students, faculty, staff and other members of the university community together to celebrate everything great about UMBC. Planning for Homecoming 2011 is well under way, but it is not too late for you—or your department—to get involved.
How can you be a part of Homecoming? It’s easy. You could host a small get-together within your department. You can have a departmental/program table at one of our existing events. You could help lead a campus spirit activity. You could even rally your department co-workers for a day of dressing in black and gold. Whatever you do, we can’t wait to hear about it. And, if you need it, we can help you make your event an even bigger, better part of Homecoming.
Help us spread Retriever Fever all over campus. For more information on how you can get involved, contact Stanyell Bruce, co-chair of Homecoming, at firstname.lastname@example.org or via phone at ext. 5-2632. You can also find more information, as it becomes available, at www.umbc.edu/homecoming.
