After a decade-long career in the U.S. Navy, Jeremy Johnson resigned in 2007 by coming out to his commanding officer in a powerful letter that he read this week on WYPR’s “The Signal.” Johnson appeared on “The Signal” in advance of a Baltimore performance of “The Telling Project,” which uses local veterans to share stories about the military experience. “The Telling Project” will arrive at Towson University, May 6-7, and Johnson’s participation is the first time the show will include a veteran impacted by “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” (DADT).
