WJZ-TV caught up with members of UMBC’s Baja racing just as they prepared for the long drive to Alabama to compete in the first event in the 2011 Baja SAE Design Series.
The team ended up finishing 20th overall out of 54 teams competing in the weekend’s event, coming in second the competition for most cost effective design.
