An April 19 blog post entitled “Joblessness and Bioethics,” on Johns Hopkins’ “Berman Institute of Bioethics Bulletin,” discussed research by Shawn Bediako, assistant professor of psychology. Through his research, which was funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Bediako seeks to identify the factors that impact unemployment among African-Americans with sickle cell disease. The findings were published in the November issue of the Journal of Health Care for the Poor and Underserved.
