Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley, U.S. Senator Barbara Mikulski, Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz, University System of Maryland Chancellor William “Brit” Kirwan and UMBC President Freeman Hrabowski participated in an April 21 briefing on cybersecurity innovation and education at UMBC and the bwtech@UMBC Research and Technology Park.
The event, which also marked the formal opening of bwtech’s cyber-focused Advantage Incubator and the Northrop Grumman Cync Program, received wide media attention, with coverage in the Baltimore Sun’s BaltTech blog, in the Baltimore Business Journal, on WJZ-TV and in other publications.
