UMBC/Shriver Center STEM Education Program, on Patch.com

Patch.com reports on a new UMBC/Shriver Center STEM curriculum in use at Ellicott City’s Our Lady of Perpetual Help School. The program, headed by Lynn Sparling, associate professor of physics, illustrates concepts from physics by investigating wind power generation. In the article, Trevor Mathias, a UMBC junior majoring in biochemistry, works with students to understand wind turbines.
