UMBC Students on Patch.com

UMBC’s Japanese Culture Club organized two fundraisers for relief efforts following the disaster in Japan, both of which took place last week: an origami rose keychain sale and an “arcade day” on Main Street in the Commons.

“A lot of college students don’t have an ability to write a big check to send someone but they can spend a few dollars on something like this,” Mary Igoe ’12, mechanical engineering, told Catonsville Patch, who covered the event with a story and photo slideshow entitled “At UMBC: Video Games, Origami for Japan.”
