UMBC Shriver Center and Peaceworker Program on WYPR’s “The Signal”

In advance of the Peace Corps’ 50th anniversary on March 1, WYPR’s “The Signal” broadcast a special interview with Returned Peace Corps Volunteers in Baltimore, including Joby Taylor, director of UMBC’s Peaceworker Program. Learn more about the program in the UMBC web feature “Practical Idealists” or check out “Bringing the Peace Corps Home,” an article in the new UMBC Magazine on how Peaceworkers are pursuing graduate study alongside continued service in Baltimore, “hon[ing] the cross-cultural communication skills they’ve acquired and apply[ing] them to local challenges.”
