It is with profound sadness that I report the passing of William Jackson, an eight-year member of our UMBC community and the University Police Department, who passed away suddenly on February 4.
Officer Jackson was a devoted husband and father to his wife, Kimberly, and two children, William, Jr., 15, and Kahron, 2, and a devoted public servant. He will be missed by the UMBC community and his co-workers at the University Police Department.
A viewing will take place at the Vaughn Greene Funeral Home, 8728 Liberty Road, Randallstown, MD, 21133 on Monday, February 14, 4-8 p.m. The funeral service will take place at the Vaughn Greene Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 15, with a 10 a.m. wake and funeral service at 11 a.m. Final interment will take place at the Woodlawn Cemetery, 2130 Woodlawn Drive, Baltimore, MD, 21207, immediately following the funeral service.
