
The Liz Gerring Dance Company performs “Lichtung/Clearing,” an evening-length dance set within a layered visual and sound environment, in the UMBC Theatre, 8 p.m., Thursday, February 3. Conceived and choreographed by Liz Gerring, “Lichtung/Clearing” includes a multichannel electronic score and multichannel video projections by longtime collaborators Michael Schumacher and Ursula Scherrer. The artists explore movement image, sound image, and projected image.
Alistair Macaulay of the New York Times calls it “A major achievement.”
Tickets are $20 for general admission, $10 for students and seniors.
