Robert Deluty, associate dean of the graduate school, has published a new book of poetry, “When Silence Is Not An Option.” In his review, Richard Berlin writes, “Just when you least expect it, another flock of Robert Deluty’s poems flies into town, each little beauty gliding silently on its three iridescent wings. They arrive with clear visions from Deluty’s observation posts to present moments the rest of us notice only from the corners of our eyes. And the poems bring news about our loves and losses, triumphs and despair, and the laughter that keeps us hopeful. His poetry continues to sing with the music and warmth we have learned to anticipate from Dr. Deluty, a true master of his poetic form.”
Copies of “When Silence Is Not An Option,” as well as of Deluty’s other books, are on sale at the UMBC Bookstore.
