Erickson School professor and geriatrician Bill Thomas spoke with Sheilah Kast on “Maryland Morning” this week in a segment exploring the Green House elder housing movement, which Thomas started a decade ago. Green Houses are open or under construction in 25 states, now including Maryland. Thomas describes, “The Green House is different because it puts the person first, and then the people of the Green House flex and accommodate the needs of the individual rather than the individual meeting the needs of the institution.”
