UMBC Grad Student Huguens Jean Discusses Haiti Film on Al Jazeera

Huguens Jean ’05, mechanical engineering, ’08 M.S., electrical engineering and ’11 Ph.D., electrical engineering, appeared on Al Jazeera English’s Riz Khan show on Tuesday, January 10, as part of the program “Haiti: Rebuilding an Image.” Jean discussed the new documentary film “Lift Up,” which he co-directed with UMBC alumnus Philip Knowlton. The film follows Jean and his brother Clifford Muse as they return to Haiti after the devastating earthquake there to honor the memory of their grandfather. The UMBC community is welcome to attend a free screening on campus on Thursday, January 27.
