From William R. LaCourse, Chair and Professor of Analytical Chemistry, Kauffman Fellow of Entrepreneurship
On January 12-13, the College of Natural and Mathematical Sciences will host an entrepreneur institute to assist faculty in ways to infuse entrepreneurial principles into their courses. All are welcome.
The institute will begin with a presentation by Dr. Bill Green speaking to the pedagogy of infusing entrepreneurship into the undergraduate curriculum. The keynote speaker, Dr. Chic Thompson, will discuss approaches to inspire creativity and innovation, and he will be followed by Dr. Raghu, who will address the benefits of an entrepreneurial education in biotechnology. The second day will focus on campus resources and experiences, as well as hearing from an alumni panel. Greater detail can be found in the attached documents.
Although attendance at the E-Institute this January is free, reservations are requested in advance to help estimate materials and food services. Please reserve your seat by contacting Dennis Cuddy by email (cuddy@umbc.edu) or by online registration (E-Institute-Registration@umbc.edu) on or before Monday, January 10.
All attendees will receive a free copy of Chic Thompson’s book, “What A Great Idea! 2.0.” I look forward to seeing you at the CNMS E-Institute.
