As Maryland’s general election approaches, experts believe Democratic Governor Martin O’Malley and Republican former Governer Bob Ehrlich will need to contrast each other more sharply.

“What both candidates need to do is separate themselves from the other, in terms of policy,” said Donald Norris, professor of public policy.
