UMBC was recently recognized by the Princeton Review in its “Guide to 286 Green Colleges.” To further our commitment to being a sustainable campus, we are calling on the UMBC community to rally together and highlight its green efforts.
The 2010 Rally is sponsored by The Commons, Off Campus Student Services and Facilities Management. The focus of this event is on university-wide efforts to maintain a green campus and will showcase UMBC organizations and departments that support the mission of sustainability.
The Clean and Green Rally will be held September 22, 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. in The Commons Main Street area. Speakers will include Provost Elliot Hirshman and SGA President Yasmin Karimian. For more information, e-mail recycle@umbc.edu.
