Susan Augsburger Velli, business manager of the Department of Music, was mentioned in the Howard County Times for her oil painting depicting historic Ellicott City’s Main Street. The article notes that the painting is “compositionally anchored by the railroad bridge at the bottom of the street. The bridge’s gray stone arches emphasize how the built environment hugs the street and trees rise up behind the buildings.”
