Alice Chen ’10 Named the America East Conference Scholar Athlete

Alice Chen ’10 was named the America East Conference Scholar Athlete for women’s tennis, the conference announced Tuesday. The conference named members of teams in the eight championship sports which America East offered in the spring season, that represent the best of the America East Conference both academically and athletically. Chen’s award is the fourth in a row for the women’s tennis program at UMBC. Cornelia Carapcea ’09 earned the honor in 2007, 2008 and 2009.
