Professional Development Day: Ways to Save Time and Effort (9/30)

In these challenging times, learning to fully utilize available resources is crucial to overall effectiveness, efficiency, and job satisfaction.  This Professional Development Day is dedicated to helping all of us find ways to save time and effort.

We start the day with leadership expert, Joe Raia, who will deliver an inspirational and practical keynote – how to lead ourselves and others during times of significant change. In addition to Joe, we have assembled a great ‘cast’ of UMBC experts to facilitate concurrent workshops on ways to save time and effort.  It is our hope this Professional Development Day both inspires you to see new possibilities for growth and provides you with practical skills to make a significant impact in your day-to-day work!

Professional Development Day 2010 will be Thursday, September 30, 8:15 a.m.–4:30 p.m., at the University Center, 3rd Floor.

Registration Information: Participants register once for the event and have the flexibility to attend sessions in the morning and/or afternoon.

There is a keynote presentation in the morning followed by 8 workshops offered on a first come, first served basis.  The workshops will be repeated in the afternoon.  Participants will have the opportunity to attend up to 4 of the 8 programs.

Seating is limited and an accurate headcount in advance is important for planning purposes.  Before you register, confirm with your supervisor that you will be released from work to attend
