Shawn Bediako, assistant professor of psychology, co-authored a recently-published study on trust toward physicians among adults with sickle cell disease. The study was published in the June issue of the Journal of General Internal Medicine.
The researchers found that, among adults with sickle cell disease, unsatisfactory interactions with health-care providers in the past affect their trust in the medical profession more broadly. The study can be found online at http://www.springerlink.com/content/v04n8t7244835665/fulltext.pdf.
