Maryland Daily Record includes UMBC alumni, students in Top 100 Women List

Since 1996, the Maryland Daily Record has recognized more than 800 high-achieving Maryland women who are making an impact through their leadership, community service and mentoring. Below are UMBC alumni and current students who have been included in this year’s prestigious list:

  • Jane A. Walker ’78, sociology, executive director of Maryland Coalition of Families for Children’s Mental Health
  • Diane Bell-McKoy ’73, sociology, president and CEO of Associated Black Charities
  • Karen Chaya Friedman ’94, political science, judge of Orphans’ Court for Baltimore City
  • Mary C. (Cass) Naugle ’09 M.A. aging studies, executive director of the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Maryland
  • Lauren Schnaper ’71, psychology, director of Berman Breast Center, GBMC
  • Gabrielle Wyatt ‘10, political science, who will study public policy at Harvard University
