The Keys to a Culture of Assessment: Value and Respect (5/19)

How do you show faculty that assessment is worth their time? By creating an environment in which assessment is seen as useful for improving teaching and learning.

In “The Keys to a Culture of Assessment: Value and Respect,” Linda Suskie, vice president at the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, will discuss critical steps in building a successful assessment program. This 90-minute audio webinar will include how to:

  • Make assessment’s importance and value clear
  • Move forward in ways that are consistent with campus history and values
  • Create assessments that encourage innovation and risk-taking
  • Streamline and simplify assessment approaches
  • Create incentives for addressing disappointing assessments

Join us on Wednesday, May 19, noon-1:30 p.m., in the Engineering and Computer Science Building, Room 023.

Bring your lunch; refreshments will be provided. This is co-sponsored by the Faculty Development Center and the GEC.
