Sergey Erenburg Wins Maryland Chess Championship

On April 24-25, Chess Team Captain Sergey Erenburg ‘10 won the 2010 Maryland Open, becoming the 2010 Maryland Chess Champion, capturing a $1,200 prize. The strong field included four international grandmasters and seven international masters, as well as most of Maryland’s competitive chess players. The three-day tournament took place in Rockville.
