Alan Sherman, associate professor of computer science, will present a paper at the upcoming IEEE International Symposium on Power Line Communications and its Applications (ISPLC), March 28-31, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This joint work with Dhananjay Phatak, associate professor of computer engineering, and students Vivek Relan ’14 and Bhushan Sonawane ’14, proposes a new out-of-band channel for establishing strong location authentication by sending a cryptographic signal over the power grid.
