After 11 years of distinguished service, Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs Marilyn Demorest is stepping down from her administrative role. Demorest has been a member of the UMBC community for more than 37 years and her dedication, intelligence, creativity and collaborative spirit have fostered and contributed to the growth and development of our faculty, as well as numerous academic units including the Honors College, the Faculty Development Center, the Office of Institutional Research and the Department of Psychology – among many others.
Join us in recognizing and thanking her for the many years of service to UMBC and the Office of the Provost. A reception will be Monday, March 8, 2010, 3-5 p.m., in the Albin O. Kuhn Library Gallery.
In lieu of a gift, Demorest has requested that contributions be made to “The Marilyn E. Demorest Faculty Advancement Fund,” which was established to support the advancement of all UMBC faculty members in their academic careers, facilitate their professional development and recognize their contributions to UMBC.
