Striking a Balance: Eldercare and the Workplace (2/24)

Are you caring for an aging loved one? Have you ever faced difficult caregiving situations that leave you wondering what to do?

American families provide more than 80 percent of all in-home caregiving for aging family members, disabled adult children and other loved ones. As people live longer, it’s become increasingly difficult for employees to successfully juggle these demanding roles while trying to balance work, family life and caregiving.

In this inspiring workshop you will learn new perspectives on aging in our society and receive answers to your questions about eldercare, including dealing with family dynamics, decision-making and conflict resolution; making difficult choices; and the future of aging.

This workshop features two leading experts from the Erickson School: Judah Ronch, interim dean of the Erickson School and a national expert on dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease and internationally-renowned geriatrician Bill Thomas, author of “What are Old People For?”

The workshop will be Wednesday, February 24, 2:30 p.m.-4 p.m., in the University Center, Room 312. A book signing will follow.

Register by Friday, February 19, here.
