The Retired Faculty Reading Club will meet Tuesday, February 23, 4 p.m., in The Commons, Fireside Lounge. Anne Brodsky, professor of psychology, will discuss her landmark study, “With All Our Strength: The Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan.” Brodsky’s classic work brought attention to the cosmopolitan culture that was, to no small extent, the contribution of these women, before the Soviet occupation of the 1970s. Copies of the book are available (some of them used) at the UMBC Bookstore. The book may also be purchased from online publishers for under $17. Guests are welcome, and refreshments will be served. This event is sponsored by the Faculty Development Center.
