UMBC in University Business Magazine

The implementation of iStrategy as a solution for student information-related reporting will be an exciting change for UMBC’s financial services department. Former data systems were hard to pull data from with complex reports. “This creates frustration, especially for the untrained eye,” said Lynne Schaefer, vice president for administration and finance. Some UMBC administrators have started using iStrategy, and anticipation for a full-blown implementation is building. “Without a system like iStrategy, it takes longer to get answers to basic questions,” said President Freeman Hrabowski. Dissecting the data requires more back-and-forth and he might be less likely to have time for analysis before a meeting.

The article, “Reporting for Duty,” ran in the January 2010 issue of University Business magazine.
