Residential Life joins the UMBC community in welcoming back returning residents and new students to campus move-in on Tuesday, January 26. With spring semester opening day occurring on a “work-day” this year, campus traffic will be altered as follows:
– Access to Center and Poplar Roads will be restricted to students and their parents and day care facility drop-off and pick-up.
– Vehicle turns from Hilltop Circle onto Back and Center roads will be restricted at these locations during the move-in hours of 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
– Campus Police and Parking Services staff will be assisting in providing direction and assistance during this move-in day event.
– Faculty and staff who normally park along Center Road or Poplar Avenue are requested to find alternate parking locations on this date.
– Towing and vehicle relocations will be in effect from 5 a.m.-4 p.m. on Wednesday, January 26, for Center Road and Poplar Avenue.
– After 4 p.m., all parking spaces are open for designated UMBC parking decal hangers or permits to occupy all spaces along Center Road and Poplar Avenue.
Pardon the temporary traffic inconveniences as we welcome our students back to UMBC for spring semester!
