UMBC will hold its fifth annual Midday Madness on Thursday, January 21, when the women’s basketball team hosts America East rival Vermont for a 12 p.m. tip-off from the RAC Arena. The Retrievers will welcome more than 1,300 local elementary and middle school students for the game. Admission is free to all fans.
A popular and fun-filled afternoon since its inception in 2006, Midday Madness has averaged 1,242 fans in its first four years, including 1,517 last season, a RAC women’s basketball record crowd at the time.
