MCC: Congratulations from Governor O’Malley

Governor Martin O’Malley recently congratulated and thanked UMBC for having the highest level of donation of all state universities in to the 2008 Maryland Charity Campaign. O’Malley’s letter noted that Maryland charities are being hit hard during the economic decline, and donations will provide substantial help to those in need. “One in three Marylanders in need will benefit from the Maryland Charity Campaign and UMBC’s generous contributions,” he wrote. The letter thanked UMBC for its nearly 50% participation, standing out among other Maryland colleges and universities.
