UMBC’s College.Be. Site in Bmore Media

UMBC’s newest Web site for students, “College.Be.,” was featured in Bmore Media, a new online publication. The College.Be. site serves as an aggregator for a mix of social media Web sites including Flickr, YouTube, Facebook, Last.fm and Twitter. Once students sign up, their media is streamed from these sites. “Once we had the concept, the vibe, we thought about what would communicate to and resonate with the prospective and current, new undergraduate college audience. The idea to build a unique, proprietary Web site specifically to support our radio and outdoor advertising campaign came about,” said Ed Neenan, marketing director for the Department of Information Systems.

The article, “UMBC wants students to just Be,” ran Tuesday, October 13.
