Donald Norris, Public Policy, in Baltimore Sun

The saga continues for Baltimore Major Sheila Dixon as a judge denied the motion to dismiss a perjury indictment against her. Dixon is now likely to face two trials – one for stealing gift cards for the needy and another on the perjury counts. Despite these incidents, the Baltimore Sun reports that Dixon is “soldiering on.” But “it is not good news from the standpoint of her being able to govern,” said Donald Norris, chair and professor of public policy.

Two stories ran with the same quote by Norris.

The first story, “Dixon may get 2 trials,” ran Tuesday, October 6, in the Baltimore Sun.

The second story, “Coming Soon to Baltimore: Twin Trials of the Mayor,” ran Tuesday, October 6, in the Baltimore Sun’s “First Click – Maryland” blog.
