You’re Invited: Honoring UMBC’s Outstanding Alumni (10/15)

Each year, the UMBC Alumni Association honors alumni who have made a difference in their communities, their careers – and at UMBC. The following alumni have been chosen as distinguished alumni this year:  James P. Clements ’85, computer science, and ’91 M.S. and ’93 Ph.D., operations analysis, president of West Virginia University; Jeffrey “Duff” Goldman ’97, history, star of Food Network’s Ace of Cakes; Crystal Watkins ’95, biological sciences, a researcher at The Johns Hopkins Medical Institutes; Delegate Jon Cardin ’96, M.P.S., policy sciences; Laura Pasquini ’98, visual arts, director of community programs at the Corcoran Gallery of Art; Gustavo Matheus ’90, biological sciences (Distinguished Service Award); and Alicia Wilson ’04, political science (Rising Star Award).
