It is with great sadness that I inform the UMBC community that Md Akilur Rahman, a sophomore economics major, passed away on August 28, just before the start of classes. We recently learned from his brother that services were held in his hometown of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Expressions of sympathy can be addressed to his family in care of his older brother, Ashequr Rahman, and sent to the Student Affairs office, The Commons, Room 319.
