Re: Update on Fliers Posted on Campus
On the evening of Thursday, April 19, two fliers containing language with racial overtones both hateful and threatening to the campus community were posted on campus. The proximity of the incident to the Virginia Tech tragedy prompted the UMBC Police to proceed with extra caution in advising the campus.
The UMBC Police continue to work with the County and State Police to monitor this situation, and currently there are no suspects. We ask that you continue to be attentive and report any suspicious activity to them at 410-455-5555.
We will keep the community informed should more information become available.
